I can’t grow an orchid to save my life. A good friend sent me one a couple of years ago, and I kept it alive for six months. At least it gave every sign of being alive. In the seventh month, it started looking a bit petrified. Plus the cat thought it was a toy, and our house is too cold and isn’t sunny. But it was lovely while it lasted.
Orchids are nature’s jewels. When we were in Cincinnati over Spring Break, we went to the Krohn Conservatory and happened upon an orchid show. What a treat it was. I won’t try to name the orchids for you, so just enjoy the pretty!

Exquisite: I adore orchids and the first one above is truly wonderful. I knew someone who grew orchids, and somehow, they were lasted and kept blooming, but he did have sunlight in his window.
I was at a friend’s house earlier today, and she has an orchid plant that won’t stop blooming! She had it in an
eastern-facing window.
I have an orchid that gave me three new leaves after blooming. Now it just makes tons of roots. Will it ever bloom again? Who knows, but I love a challenge. That second orchid is wonderful, Laura. Thanks for taking such wonderful pictures to share with us.
I loved being able to take these photos. They really almost took themselves. Fingers crossed that you get yours to bloom!
The pictures of the orchid made my day. They are so pretty and represent spring.
I’m so glad, Karen. Thank you!
