We’re all over the place this week. So much serendipity…
Sleep. It’s a Very Good Thing.
We love the show, Broadchurch, and I can’t wait for the next season to get over here. But apparently there is a huge tea kerfuffle brewing.
I read Neil Gaiman’s American Gods years ago, and this trailer for the new American Gods series makes me want to read it again. (Especially since I don’t get Starz. ☹️)
Camille Paglia has a new book of essays. It’s sure to amuse, irritate, and enlighten, all at once.
Hello, new glow-in-the-dark frog friend! 🐸
The Edgars Banquet Dress Search continues:
I love this one–especially because it’s not all black, and the back is to die for.
The top on this one is adorable, but it may be a bit boxy. I have wide shoulders and a matching ribcage.
Something in platinum? Interesting.
Close to home:
Writer friend Carolyn Haines dropped by the blog to answer a few fun questions.
Folks must really like to take tests–Here’s the link to “What’s Your Personality Type?” from Friday. It’s the most-read blog of the week.
From the archives: The Ides of March.
So fun! This week, BLISS HOUSE was quoted on A-Word-A-Day at wordsmith.org for “lodestar.” Pic below. Here’s the link–I’m not sure how long it will be live.

Definitely the black with design and cool back. It looks like you.
I like it–very chic. Looking closely, and in the description, the trim and sequins are actually navy blue. But I think black or blush shoes would be fine.
I like the first 2. Throw the 3rd out. With your coloring, your beautiful face will just sort of be there. The question is, in which dress are you going to feel the confident, gorgeous, and powerful?
Thanks, Julia! I also think the platinum may wash me out. Maybe when I’m old and my hair is all white lol.
Wonderful links: I like the first two dresses—they are lovely: I don’t sleep enough and have been practicing the 4-7-8 technique for awhile—it works, when I remember to do it ( sometimes); I also took the Myers Briggs Personality test; good grief, I was all over the place.
I will look up the 4-7-8 technique. I feel like I’ve read about it, but forgot. Not unusual for me…I’m interested that you feel like you were “all over the place” on the personality test. Hope you could make some sense out of your profile.
